I know the smoke is a pain but it s providing a cloud cover affect that is turning on the fish. The top water bite, Horny Toads, Frogs and Buzz Baits has been fun lots of numbers. The tulle line and the isolated weed clumps outside the tulle line are on fire no pun intended.

Senko's are still going strong, with the smoke layer remember to use a darker color. Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Black Flake all good choices. Keep a few Baby Bass color on deck for when the smoke lifts and the sky is brighter. The wind shifts the smoke around so having dark and lighter colors is a good thing.

Jigs, crankbaits, and 10 inch worms worked on the outside weed edges and clumps has been accounting for the larger fish. Brown/Purple and Brown/Orange for jigs I prefer 3/8 ounce. Speed Traps in white and the new Sebile Crankster have worked well for me. And for the 10 inch worm Maverick Shop Special is my #1 choice.

Drink lots of water while you are on the water and remember to put lots of sun screen on the rays still get to you through all that smoke.Be careful with the visability on the lake.
