GLoomis JBR813C Ripping Rod
I recently received this rod from Loomis and what a nice Christmas present it was. The rod was perfect for ripping the bigger baits I like such as the Jackall Squad Minnow 128, the Lucky Craft Pointer 128, and the Staysee 90’s. The fast tips and the progressive tapers are exactly what I am looking for in a jerk bait rod.
Like most Loomis rods, this one powers up as it flexes. The 6’9” model is the perfect size for me so I achieve long casts and it allows me plenty of movement without hitting the boat or water. Shorter versions are available. I used this rod with an Ambassadeur EON Pro reel spooled with10lb test Seaguar AbrazX and the rod felt great!
