Jigs: Ok let’s get jiggy; commonly known as big fish bait the jig is one of the most used baits. A bait and technique that can be used year round whether you are pitching or flipping it into brush, weeds and tulles, worked slow across the bottom or knocking rock piles or swimming it along the bottom the jig is known for catching fish and big fish. Jigs come in many styles from flipping heads such as an Archy head to a foot ball head design used when fish structure like rock piles. Weight varies depending on the presentation, slow versus fast fall and so on. Remember a craw fish is the forage you are matching so colors vary as well.
